Washington, DC is a “sanctuary city" for many communities, and there are many resources for the Trans community, but oftentime, Trans-Latinx people are left at the margins.

The Peer Navigation Program:

• provides accompaniment for participants/clients to any appointments they have, providing Peer Interpreting, speaking on their behalf, and assuring that they receive the service with dignity, compassion and culturally competent/sensitive.

• provide trainings on how to navigate the system and also how better communicate with providers.

• provides training to become Peer Navigator Advocates.

El Programa de Navegación de Pares:

• proporciona acompañamiento para lxs participantes / clientes a cualquier cita que tengan, brindando Interpretación (Spanisg/English, hablando en su nombre y asegurando que reciban el servicio con dignidad, compasión y culturalmente competente/sensible.

• impartir capacitación sobre cómo navegar el sistema y también cómo comunicarse mejor con los proveedores.

• proporciona capacitación para convertirse en Defendores Navegadores de Pares .
